Retriev-R Trainer (single hand dummy launch) I still have and use the one I bought 30 years ago. Tip,
don't use red's in it... (also - hallmark dummy's for the launch work better then the retrieve-R dummies -
but the Hallmark Launches are not as good as the original Retriev-R launches
Notes to self or you if you care to hear
Note - I like the quality of the hallmark dummies best over all.
The flagman bumpers are nice - love the flags - it really helps
Valveless bumpers are best - on water marks the ones with valves eventually leak and may sink.
I loved tri-tronics collars and still have my old 200LR but I was not thrilled with the new 200LR I bought.
I have not tried the dogtra's but others appear to be happy with them.
I HATE the remington crates - the doors are of very poor quality and if the dog pushes or pulls hard
enough they break or pop open.
Buy training scents - duck or pheasant - to start your pup - just a drop is enough - best thing is to let him chase
and find pigeons as a baby.
Get your pup on birds early
The following three are the big ones in hunting retriever tests and titles. Each club is different and the tests they set up are just as different. They do not record or acknowledge each others titles or awards. All of them are set up to test the dogs hunting abilities. For test requirements and rules go to each club site.
